Please make sure that your student has brought a messy shirt to Art Class to protect their clothing.
We are currently working on our Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Homes.
We viewed Frank Lloyd Wrights works and discussed what it meant to be an Architect. Students were then asked to create a drawing of their dream home. We discussed everything you would need or want in your home. Students then began the process of making those ideas come to life! We also discussed the profession of a Landscape Architect and how landscaping will complete the final designs of their homes.
Here is an example from lat year. They look awesome! All we need is some landscaping and we are all done!

We will be moving on from our houses soon and into a new unit featuring Comic Book Art!

The Art Curriculum currently follows Illinois State Standards. It is being revised to also include National Standards as well as Common Core Standards.
Curriculum Goals are achieved through hands on learning experiences. Students are given opportunities to create Artwork using a variety of Art Materials such as Paint, Drawing Supplies, Plaster and Collage.
